Just as Dragonica is a potential hot-bed for fantasy-setting artists, Top Speed by ICE Entertainment is going to attract plenty of contemporary fan-submissions. (Yep! We share 2 Summer projects with ICEE. Dragonica and Top Speed.)
I like to think I'm a pretty mean driver, even if I say so myself *hyuk*, but more importantly, I like art, and the possibilities for this game are just mind-blowing. If I can help it at all, art-events and contests will be a big thing for IAH gamers this Summer!

I suck at racing XD. It'd get too repetitive for me though >< Unless there's cool stuff you can do in the game.

The graphics are nice!! But the wait to get into a race would problably could get me asleep real fast.. But NCsoft always seems to know how to make the best games,so there might be fun things to do inside as well!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if its due to the really slow speeds of the korean closed beta client. I'm sure the Korean community aren't having any problems, just the people living in US...unless itsj ust me. I just don't understand why downloading the client is slow. Anything else I download from their site, I go at my usual speed :\
It's probably just me, but the game avatars remind me of Child's Play.
Either way, racing isn't my cup of tea too :(

Ok, now being a little more serious. All this talk about fanart contests makes me wish I could actually draw. But unfortunately the best I can do now would be some horribly done stick figures on MSPaint with coloring that scribbles outside the lines. Unless I cheat and use that bucket, but then if you aren't careful and make sure the lines are closed all the way, the bucket could spill out over the entire page, noo!
Back to my point, before I got distracted by the evil that is MSPaint, I was wondering if there would be any other kinds of contests that have to do with Dragonica other than fanart. Something like a player designed quest contest, or a "Name this NPC" contest where players would submit a name for a newly created NPC, along with a backstory/personality relevent to the lore of Dragonica. Those were just some silly spur of the moment ideas to use an example, but you get the point, something for the less artistically gifted.
If not, look out all you art mongers, because I was just being modest. My stick figures are exquisite.

There's an English alpha-test that we're trying to get in place for this summer. We're still discussing distributing a batch of accounts through MMOGamez.com, so that there are enough testers in your timezone to engage in boss raids and PvPs no matter what time you go to bed.
@endler; Of course! Of course! I spoke about the art contests 1st cos more people were vocal about art, which takes some coordinate with Barunson (it will actually take time for them to approve and implement winning designs in-game, so judging by how tied down they are with the more critical developments like pets and houses now, it's not going to be realistic to expect your designs in alpha!)
There's more to do events-wise. I was hoping to run a writing competition for gamers to submit their own "stories" of fictional backgrounds and adventures, etc. in Dragonica. Then we'll run a contest, pick out the good ones, (hopefully give a good prize), and then the GMs, authors and I can turn good scenarios into events, before compiling them into a periodically updated "Dragonic Chronicles" page on the website so gamers can get involved in shaping the history.
@raven, those are just skin-cards you can buy to change your kart appearance. The basic karts are red racers which you pick n assemble (like equipment on an RPG character or if you played Need For Speed) to modify its stats. We skin it just so it looks cool. The black one in the first pic is a bike, btw. I'm just calling the other black one a bat-mobile.

I was able to talk to some friends from Korea. One of them is level 35 right now. There are unique items in the game, (rares, uniques, etc). He was also able to get 1622 combo O_o
the character looks like kingdom heart for some reason ;o
