"WS vs. MS... seriously?

So, I recently read the popular article on mmosite.com entitled "Will MS Be Replaced?".
It had some relevant info on the game, accompanied with some nice pics...however...
No one should really expect a clone (since that appears to be what WS is) of Maple Story to do better than Maple Story. MS has around 3million registered users in North America alone. 3 million. 3 Million! Given that there are more people in SEA (including thailand, japan, korea, china)...you could be looking at up to 16million players in total. Wind Slayer may be a really cool clone, with better proportioned characters and more classes or items to choose from, but unless the producers pay gamers to play WS, it seems highly unlikely that a simple re-installment will shatter a 10million + hardcore fan base.
Honestly? I would put money on Dragonica. It takes the idea of MS, but makes it 3d (in case you didn't know =P)
I think that has waaaaay more potential than Wind Slayer. So, not to diss MMOsite, but gaming logic seems to indicate that Dragonica will give MS a run for its money, not WS. Sorry dudes.

Honestly? I am putting money on Dragonica.
WS poorly duplicates, wheras Dragonica takes things to the NEXT LEVEL like super mario all strung out on power-up mushrooms!
From what i can see Dragonica has already thought up quite a few nifty little uniqualities!
If you ask me the WindSlayer Team has been sitting around all day thinking up crazy marketing ideas like "Man what if we like go and crash all the MapleStory servers then burn them... will that get people to play windslayer??"
Verdict: dragonica will push boundreis to a higher demension of revolutionary emersive gameplay!!
I read that article, as I like to keep informed on MMO news and I thought it was rather curious as well. I've heard that, in alot of ways, WS isn't even as good as MS so I have a really tough time believing it'd be any better. If anything I'd bet Latale would be able to compete in that 2D market.
However, it seems like Dragonica is going to blow all three out of the water. Sure, it has SOME similarities being a side scrolling MMO, but watching videos, the differences are immediately apparently. The gameplay seems alot faster and ALOT more fun, with combos, cool jumps, and interesting class skills.
Nevermind the superb art style and unique brand of humor! I cannot wait to play this game and have turned a bunch of my friends onto it as well :D
I was in the WS CBT, let's just say I didn't end up playing long before I deleted it from my computer.
If Dragonica is anywhere near as good to play as the trailers suggest then maple story (i have played and actually found it better than click mmo's but still boring because there werent enough skill and the best way to kill something was to keep pissy hitting it from above or below it by glitch) wind slayer and any other side scrollers don't even come close to compare.
I don't know if it should be compared to other side scrollers its on a whole new level and should be labled more as an mmo version of the side scroll arcade games we have all come to know and love

p.s. i am really hoping dragonica's combo system turns out to be the complete awsomness that it looks because i played some (like cabal online) that are completely hopeless and requires you just to press the attack button while a sliding bar like those in the bowling games is on the bottom.

Without a doubt, dragonica is a pushing up a whole new level.Combos, 3D, Animation, Stages/Missions. Bosses. Furthermore, Maple is so cash-shopped enhanced :[.
PS: does any1way know who to go to the official forum? Im stuck at the email-verification code because it was never send to my e-mail ....
Snuggle, you should be able to request for a second verification email on the sign-in page. Or if it's faster, simply register again and see if that works.

Thank for the help. I have tried changing my emails but in regards to "verification code", it still wasn't send to me. Neither did creating a new account work. Couldnt view the forum as an anomalous player too.
